Aristotle, Plato
& Potato Chips

"You turned the membership on to a topic which many of them feared."
--- James V. - Trade Group Chair

Our current technology & culture grew out of the debate between Einstein and others on two key questions ---
mmm1. Is time curved?
mmm2. Is space in a hurry?

Those two very "weird" questions led directly to the modern marvels we take for granted each and every day. New ideas always lead to new technology. And then new technology leads to new rules - because the old rules don't work any more.

  • We've got 74 year old children running around because their parents don't die on schedule any more. They never get to grow up.
  • We've got 11 year old grownups, because their parents are utterly dependent on junior to get the TV working and the phone answered.
  • Everyone ad libs today, because instant communication has stolen the time to ponder.
  • And men are sitting around waiting for women to figure out who they are so the guys can then do the same.

Periodically, we need to hammer things out all over again because technology has changed everyone's role.

It's time to hammer. This program highlights long forgotten conceptual material that has a "gee-whiz" connection to the bottom line. It holds the kind of surprising insights that translate into new actions on the job.

1. Why Socrates found questions
xxx more important than their answers
2. Why Plato hung around in caves
3. What Aristotle tells us about the joys
xxxxof Materialism
4. What Adam Smith
would say, if he saw
xxxxwhat we'd done to Capitalism

"My staff spent a 1/2 hour lined up in the service hallway in rapt attention. " --- Franklin M. - Hotel Catering Manager
